Longines developed the Weems system during the late 1920s in partnership with naval officer Philip van Horn Weems to synchronize seconds hand readouts with radio time signals. This 1990s reissue recreates the original patent-holding navigation watch that preceded the Lindbergh flight instruments.
A central rotating disc operates via the secondary crown at four o'clock, enabling exact second synchronization without stopping the balance wheel. Driven by the automatic caliber L619.2, the 36mm stainless steel case combines a calibrated bi-directional bezel with blued steel hands.
